They are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Apollo Federation GraphQL Expert to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in optimizing their API architecture and enhancing their capabilities in delivering highly efficient, scalable, and reliable applications. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement GraphQL services using Apollo Federation to unify disparate services into a single data graph.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate diverse data sources and APIs into the application infrastructure.
• Optimize GraphQL performance through schema design, query tuning, and efficient data fetching strategies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for GraphQL APIs, ensuring clarity and accessibility for developers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on best practices and architectural patterns around Apollo Federation.
• Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to enhance the scalability and reliability of the Apollo Federation setup.
• Participate in planning and conducting code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Upper-intermediate or Advanced English level (written/spoken)
• Extensive experience in GraphQL development with a strong focus on Apollo Federation.
• Proven expertise in building scalable and optimized GraphQL schemas and resolvers.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and how they integrate into an Apollo Federation setup.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with a robust understanding of Node.js environments.
• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization techniques for GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with additional backend technologies such as Express, Koa, or NestJS.
• Experience in DevOps practices, particularly in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Background in DB management and optimization (SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Active contributor to open source GraphQL or Apollo Federation projects (plus)

Place of work: Remote from LatAm.
Contract Type: Full time - Contractor. Long-term. EST and MST time zones
